My favorite part of this semester was the flour babies. I also liked going into the Little Jag Center. Next week I think I'll do good on the final.

This week in child development we made two new projects. One of the projects was a toddler learning environment and the other is a career power point. I like doing projects better than notes.

My favorite part of this week was watching Inside Out and learning about how toddlers show their emotions. I also liked doing the art project with our non-dominant hand.

This week in child development we made a book out of a tissue box. Also, this week we made lesson plans for toddlers and have to teach them to the class... my lesson plan didn't go as planned. My favorite part about this week was reading to the kids during the fire drill.

This week in Child Development we learned how much a infant is different from a toddler. We also learned why toddlers throw temper tantrums. My favorite part of this week was watching the lady act like a toddler

This week we got to play in shaving cream, paint, play with legos and play-doh, & we got to make necklaces. All of those activities help kids with their development.

This week in child development we made our own daycare/ learning center. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I'm glad that I don't have to take home the real care baby this weekend.

Last week in class we learned about infant development, emotions, emotional care, attachment, temperament, and much more. The most interesting thing I learned about was how babies change and hit their milestones so quick. I also get to take home a flour baby this weekend.

This week in class we had our flour babies and had to take them everywhere with us. We also learned about developmental millstones that babies hit.

Flour Baby

Last week in class we had a baby shower and gave "birth" to our flour babies. I took my baby everywhere this weekend and got a few looks at the bus stop this morning.

Child Development

This week in class we watched another birth video, I got to wear the empathy belly, we did a test, and we talked about our flour babies. The empathy belly was kind of hard... it was more uncomfortable than it was hard. The birth video was more interesting than the one from a few weeks ago, it also wasn't so graphic which is a good thing. The test wasn't as hard as I thought it would be but it was still kind of hard. I'm excited for the flour baby next week, I think I'll do good! :)

This week we learned the different births that are offered to expecting moms. We also watched a mom give birth (it was the nastiest thing EVER!). Before this class, I wanted kids when I am older but now i'm not so sure because of all the pain!!
